1. Download the appropriate file for the platform you are using.
|
|
2. Run the program you just downloaded.
|
Intel Linux |
Make the SDDAS--linux-installer.run executable by doing a "chmod 755 SDDAS--linux-installer.run" on
the file you downloaded. After that, type in "./SDDAS--linux-installer.run" from the
command line.
|
Microsoft Windows |
Double click on the SDDAS--windows-installer.exe.
The installer will put a menu item in the Start/Programs Menu.
|
Apple Mac-OS X |
The disk image will mount and an icon will appear in the finder window.
Double click the SDDAS--macosx-installer icon and it will install SDDAS on your hard
disk.
|
|
NOTE: |
After you run the setup program, a window will
come up to guide you through the install procedure.
|
|
3. Start SDDAS!
|
Intel Linux and Linux-x86_64 |
Change to the directory where you installed SDDAS and in the bin directory,
you will need to run "sdcontrol &". We recommend creating an alias to this
program.
|
Microsoft Windows |
Double click on the SDDAS icon or navigate through your Start menu to run
SDDAS. If you install the IDFS component, you should install Cygwin before
running SDDAS. Furthermore, you must have an X-server loaded before many
of the programs will run. To start X with Cygwin, type in "startxwin.bat"
from a Cygwin window.
|
Apple Mac-OS X |
Drag the SDDAS icon from Applications Folder to your Dock or double click
the SDDAS icon from Finder. This icon will only work if you install SDDAS into
/Applications. If not, you will need to double click the sdcontrol program in
the bin directory of where you installed SDDAS.
From the command line, you can start SDDAS by changing to the directory where
you installed SDDAS and in the bin directory, run "sdcontrol &".
We recommend creating an alias to this program or a desktop shortcut to
this program.
